Temperatures – it is mandatory that your purchased rubber flooring and the adhesive is accustomed to your room temperature 3 days before installation and 3 days after. Room temperature should be between 18 degrees C and 24.
Sunlight – rubber flooring in direct sunlight can be prone to fading. While the rubber flooring is being installed the direct sunlight should be blocked while the flooring takes to the adhesive and the floor.
Smooth Floor – before the flooring can be laid the ground work must be clean and smooth. Any debris or dust should be swept away so that the rubber flooring can be laid flat on the floor without anything getting in the way.
Dry Lay – a good tip before you begin laying your floor with adhesive is to lay out the tiles or the flooring dry so that you have a good idea of what the flooring will look like and how the flooring fits into the space. When laying rubber floor tiles, split the area into quadrants, and then taking each quadrant lay the tiles in a L shape. Do the same for each of the other quadrants. Go back to the first quadrant and make a L again and then do the same with others, continuing this action until the L gets smaller and smaller.
Check The Adhesive – throughout the laying of the rubber flooring check random tiles to ensure the adhesive is taking to the flooring. Try not to slide the tiles around too much as this will gather the adhesive which needs to be flat and smooth.
Keep Off – once the rubber flooring has been laid try to keep off the floor for at least 12 hours and then only when necessary walk on the flooring for up to 72 hours after the flooring has been laid.
